Can I wear my own helmet and harness?

We require all guests to wear the equipment that we provide.

How long does it take to do the activities?

Each level of the airpark takes about 20 minutes to complete. On the climbing wall each guest has a 20-minute limit. The giant swing takes 5 minutes.

How long will I get on the water per rafting session?

Each rafting session consists of a 15 minute briefing and gearing up session on land and one hour on the water.

What should I wear?

All you really need is a good pair of swimming shorts or a swimsuit, a rash guard or t-shirt to keep the sun off and a pair of closed toe shoes. Flip-flops or bare feet are not permitted.

What is whitewater kayaking?

Whitewater kayaking is a dynamic and exciting sport that has many disciplines, some of which are on offer at Wadi Adventure. These can include freestyle kayaking where paddlers surf waves and features in order to perform tricks and spins and the only Olympic discipline Slalom Kayaking where paddlers navigate a set course of hang gates against the clock.

Can I get private surf lessons?

Both One-on-One and Group Lessons are available at the park. You can book on line or by calling our receptionist on 00971 3 781 8422.

What should I wear?

For all the aerial activities it's that you wear closed toe footwear. Clothing that is not too loose and will not affect the fitting of harnesses, helmets or become stuck in any safety devices should also be worn. Long hair should be tied back and out of the way of the equipment, element and devices. Jewelry should be removed to prevent loss or damage. Items should be removed from pockets and put into lockers provided. We advise using sunscreen at all times.

Is it safe?

Safety is the number one priority at Wadi Adventure. We provide all our guests with a safety harness and helmet. Our instructors are fully trained professionals who love their work and will provide you with an unforgettable experience.

Do I need to be fit to do these activities?

Our activities are suitable for all wishing to participate. Training is provided for all activities and no previous experience or skill level is required. Guests should assess their own physical capabilities.

I'm an experienced kayaker in the country for business. Can I rent all the gear?

Yes, we have all equipment necessary available to rent. We also have a passport program for people with previous experience to determine if they are qualified enough to paddle on the channels independently or if they would be better suited to instruction.

What is an airpark?

An airpark or high ropes course is an adventure challenge course suspended up to 20m in the air. Your goal is to navigate different elements such as stepping-stones, rolling logs, Tarzan swings and many more, whilst at all times connected by a safety harness.

What is a zip line?

A zip line is a cable suspended from a high point, about 20m above ground level, and stretches out over an open area of 200m. A participant wearing a safety harness is connected to the zip wire and rides down to the entire length of the wire, enjoying the beautiful scenes below them.

What is a climbing wall?

A climbing wall is a simulation of a natural rock wall, 15m high with climbing holds attached to it. Your goal is to make it to the top. A safety harness connects participants at all times.

What is a giant swing?

Participants are connected by harness to a large log, located at the bottom of a swing, which is part of the airpark structure. Once connected you are winched to the top of the swing, about 14m high up, and then released. Once released you feel a sense of weightlessness and then lots of speed as you fly through the air to the other side of the swing.

What gear do I need to bring?

A change of clothes and some appropriate swimwear is really all you need. Sunscreen and a towel are always recommended but in case you do forget anything we have a fully stocked outfitters store for anything you may need. Footwear is needed for the white water activities and footwear is recommended for walking around the park as the walkways can feel hot when barefoot.

What is whitewater kayaking?

These can include expedition exploratory boating in remote areas, freestyle kayaking where paddlers surf waves and features in order to perform tricks and spins and the only Olympic discipline Slalom Kayaking where paddlers navigate a set course of hang gates against the clock.

Do I need any experience?

If you just want to go and paddle the channels then you do need some experience. However we offer a full range of instruction products for complete beginners all the way up to expert kayakers and everything in between. Our experienced instructors are well qualified to teach you everything you need to know and to introduce you to world of whitewater kayaking in the best possible way.

If I have my own kayak, can I bring it?

You may bring your own equipment to use on the lakes and channels. However, a safety check will be done before approval of the equipment to ensure that it is suitable for our park.

I've done some sea kayaking and would like to try whitewater, what should I do?

If you have some kayaking basics from another discipline you would gain most out of taking a private lesson with one of our highly qualified instructors. Please call so that we may set you up with the best possible instructor for your needs.

What kayaks do you have for rent?

We have a full range of Pyranha whitewater kayaks.

How many people are there in a raft?

The ideal number is 5. Whitewater rafting is a great group activity. Each raft trip is accompanied by an experienced rafting guide making 6 people at a time in a raft.

How long will I get on the water per rafting session?

What should I wear?

Do I need experience?

No previous rafting experience is needed to enjoy the rating at Wadi Adventure. Every raft has an experienced guide in it and they will teach you everything you need to raft the rapids.

I can't swim, is this suitable for me?

Falling out of the raft is a possibility, however all participants are required to wear a floatation device. Always alert your guide in the event that you or anyone in your party is not a confident swimmer.

When are the biggest waves on?

The biggest waves of up to 3.3m in height are usually on in the evenings after 8pm. However this is subject to programming and lesson times, so please check our website for any updates.

What do I need to bring?

Just bring your board shorts, bikini or appropriate swimwear and you are ready to go. Remember waterproof sunscreen as well.

Can I join a group lesson?

Yes, group sessions are available. Please check with our Guest Service team for further information.

Is whitewater rafting safe?

Whitewater rafting is an extreme sport with some inherent dangers. However, we provide you with all the necessary safety equipment and an experienced guide to ensure that you get the most exciting trip without exposing you to unnecessary risks.

Can I bring my food and drinks into the park?

Outside food and beverage is not permitted into the park.

Can I surf alone if I have never done it before?

No, it is recommended that you join a discovery lesson to provide you with the basics of surfing.

Is it possible to rent surfboards?

We provide soft-up boards of all sizes for all surf sessions as free of charge. We also have professional surf board rentals starting from AED 50 per hour. You may choose your surf board on arrival on first come first serve policy.

What amenities are available in Wadi Adventure?

There are a number of food and beverage outlets, a merchandise shop, an events/conference facility, a VIP events facility and many more. Browse our website for more details.

What activity restrictions are there?

Participants must be above 1.2 m in height. Restrictions regarding your health or physical limitations will be detailed on the required activity waiver. Our Guest Services Department will assist you with any specific questions.

Do you have any photographers in the water park, and am I allowed to take pictures myself?

There are professional photographers within the park to capture your memorable experiences. You are permitted to bring a camera along but reminded to restrict picture taking to your own family guests.

What type of food is on offer in the park?

We have a range of different food and beverage outlets at the park offering a number of dining options. Grab a quick snack from Rafter’s Grill or have a sit down meal at the Surf Café; Mango Mango is another option to try out slushes, ice creams and desserts. Do you have special meals for children?

We have a range of meal options for our younger guests.

What is the dress code within Wadi Adventure?

The relaxed rules of the park mean that casual wear is accepted. We ask that guests bring something to put over their swim wear when using the indoor services and facilities of the park. Full body swimsuits and long sleeved rash vests are acceptable on all rides. Wadi Adventure is a family facility, therefore appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times. Cutoffs, thongs or any clothing that is too revealing is not permitted. Diaper dependant guests must wear swim diapers at all times. Appropriate water shoes are required for the whitewater activities. Since indoor floors are slippery, shoes of some type are recommended.

Is Wadi Adventure a water park?

Wadi Adventure is not your traditional water park. Although we do offer a family swimming pool and sun loungers, our main attractions will not be found at a ‘water park’. We offer adventure activities that allow guests to have the thrills and spills of a water park, yet at the same time exercise whilst learning and developing skills in an all new sports scene! Adventurous activities include whitewater rafting, kayaking, surfing and a high ropes adventure course.

Do you have any shuttle services from Dubai & Abu Dhabi?

There is currently no shuttle service available, but we can arrange private transfer upon request depending upon the group size.

Where is Wadi Adventure located?

Wadi Adventure is located opposite the One to One Hotel & Resort- Ain Al Fayda Resort, near the Green Mubazzarah, at the foot of Jebel Hafeet. For directions to the park, please see our Maps/Directions section.

Do you have a prayer room inside the park?

Yes, we have separate prayer rooms available for both male and female guests.

Do you have ladies day or night?

Ladies Nights are held twice a month (second and fourth Thursday of the month) depending on the weather conditions. Boys 8 and above are not allowed to enter and a valid ID proof will be required for confirmation. Admission charges are AED95 (Adults) and AED50 (Kids until 8 years old).

Are there any services for the disabled?

Yes. Disabled toilets are located in numerous locations around the park. Our instructors are fully trained to address the needs of all guests, please contact Guest Services in advance of your visit if you have any specific questions or needs.

Are pets allowed in the park?

No pets are allowed within the park.

Is there a sand beach?

We have a beach lounge area near the surf park and family swimming pool. There is no actual sand as it will interfere with the filtration systems. There are plenty of shade structures and beach loungers for you to enjoy.

Are lockers available at the park?

Yes. We have secure lockers available for AED35 per day. Items cannot be left overnight in the lockers. Whilst Wadi Adventure makes every effort to ensure security in the park, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen property. Our lockers work on an RFID bracelet system.

What should I do with loose items in my pockets?

We recommend that you leave items in your car or make use of our daily rental locker. It is not recommended that you take cameras, wallets, loose change, keys etc on any of our activities. Big earrings, long jewelry or sunglasses are also not recommended.

Is Wadi Adventure accessible to wheelchair users?

All areas of Wadi Adventure are accessible to wheelchair users, sometimes via ramps or elevators.

Do you have towel rental?

Towels are available to rent for 30.

Can I smoke inside the park?

Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking area only.

Are the swimming pools heated?

The surf pool and family swimming pool are both heated and cooled to ensure the most comfortable temperature for our guests.

Does Wadi Adventure have qualified lifeguards?

Yes, we have a number of qualified lifeguards at the park. Our lifeguards constantly patrol the surf pool and family swimming pool. All lifeguards and rafting guides are trained to NARS standards.

Do you serve alcohol in the park?

We do not serve nor permit any alcohol in to the park.

What is your policy on lost and found items?

All lost and found items will be kept at the Guest Services desk for a period of 3 months, after this time they may be donated to charity or destroyed.
